On Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 Birreria Volo will be one of the 66 locations across the world (18 Countries) chosen by Brasserie Cantillon (Brussels, Belgium) to host Zwanze Day 2017 (our fifth year in a row!). Zwanze Day is a world-wide celebratory release of a limited one-off lambic beer made by Brasserie Cantillon.
The 13th annual Cask Days Cask-Conditioned Beer Festival returns to Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, Ontario. The festival will offer 400+ beers and ciders served for 3 days with over 10,000 attendees. Cask Days celebrates the love for cask ale: unpasteurized, unfiltered and naturally carbonated beer that is served direct from a cask barrel.
Join us for a GRAPE WITCH X BIRRERIA VOLO celebration of wild fermented beer and wine. Beers that taste like wine (salty! concentrated! savoury! the best!), wild wines that taste like beer (sour! textured! cloudy! our everything!). On Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 for one night only Birreria Volo (612 College St.) will pour 12 beers on tap and 16 offerings in bottles with brewmaster and owner Jean Van Roy of Cantillon Present.

On Thursday, April 20th, 2017 starting at 5pm we will be featuring an amazing line up of Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project from Denver, Colorado on tap and in bottles.
Crooked Stave uses traditional brewing methods to pay homage to the old-world styles that result in flavor profiles of extraordinary complexity. Each Crooked Stave beer is fermented with the wild yeast Brettanomyces, which lends a dry, earthy character, affectionately known as “funk.” Nearly all Crooked Stave beers are conditioned in barrels or oak foeders with a house mixed sour culture, rendering beers with balanced acidity and smooth vinous notes.
